'Z' series radiators were designed for large displacement and/or high compression engines. In the 'Z' core radiator extra cooling rows are added to the core thickness, thus the cooling fins are opened up slightly to achieve adequate air flow through the thicker radiator core. Due to the aerodynamics of some model cars, only a 'Z' series radiator is available for some particular applications.
